You may be wondering, "how is pricing calculated and when will I receive payments?" This article explains everything from what is a CPM to how to set up your Stripe account.
Pricing and Campaign Details
CPM Model: Ossa pays podcasters on a CPM (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) model. This means creators earn a fixed rate per thousand impressions. For example, a $15 CPM means you earn $15 for every 1,000 times the ad is heard throughout the campaign. The CPM rate can vary depending on the campaign and is set by the advertiser.
Campaign Details: Each campaign will include specific start and end dates, as well as defined impression goals. These goals are calculated based on your audience size and the campaign duration. A larger audience or a longer campaign may result in higher potential earnings due to the increased number of impressions.
Fulfillment Requirements
Impression Goals: To receive full payment, you must reach the impression goal set for the campaign. If you fall short, payment will be prorated based on the impressions delivered and tracked by our attribution partner.
Ad Compliance: Ads must be published as scheduled, adhere to campaign guidelines, and have proper tracking set up. Ads with audio issues, incorrect length, or improper tracking may not be eligible for payment and could require a make-good recording.
Payment Process
Stripe Account: Podcasters are paid through their Stripe account following the end of each campaign. Ensure your Stripe account is linked to your Ossa app account and kept up-to-date for prompt payments.
Tracking Impressions: You will be paid for the impressions tracked by our attribution partner. If you encounter issues setting up your tracking URL before the campaign starts, please contact us immediately ([email protected]) because payment will be based only on the impressions tracked.
Payment Timing: Payments are issued after a campaign or flight concludes. Advertisers typically remit payments on a net 30, net 60, or net 90 basis, so it may take several weeks or months. As soon as the advertiser pays, we will process the payment into your Stripe account within the week.
Requirements for Payment
Valid Stripe Account: To receive payments for advertising campaigns on the Ossa app, you must have a valid and updated Stripe account linked to your profile.
In the top lefthand corner menu of your Ossa app, click on "Payments":
You will see this screen where you can connect your Stripe account. Click on "Connect":
This pop-up below will appear, and when you click "Create Account," you can create a Stripe account linked to our Ossa database.
Important note: if you already have a Stripe account, you will still need to click "Create Account" and sign up with the same email that you already use for Stripe.
